I've recently started using cotton balls, however that doesn't get remove the eyeliner on the bottom lid.
Also, the remover has gotten into my eyes a couple times, is it harmful? What is the proper way to use eye makeup remover? A lot of my eyelashes fall out when I use mine?
Get an oil-based make-up remover. I really suggest Neutrogena Oil-Free Make-up Remover. Now, I just said use something oil-based, while the title claims ';oil-free';, but I think that's some bs. The fluids in the bottle are separated and you have to shake them together to activate it. And it leaves somewhat of an oily residue on your skin anyways. It doesn't matter. Anyways, that make-up remover is honestly the best one I've ever used. It's so gentle on my lashes (I don't have many because of previous make-up removers that were harsh, like ones from Mac, The Body Shop, ect.). I just put it a cotton ball, and swipe downwards until the mascara has come off (it removes all waterproof makeup btw) because swiping downward works with the growth of your lashes, not against it which would cause them to roughen up and fall out of the follicles. Then, I open my eye and sweep the eyeliner underneath and whatever is left. Just rinse with warm water afterwards. This make-up remover is inexpensive, only about $7/bottle and lasts you about 2 to 3 months if you use eye make-up daily like me. There's absolutely no stinging or tugging when you use this one. I just love it so much. I've been using it for about 7 months now, gone through a bottle and a third.
Hope I helped!
Best wishes!
%26amp; happy holidays ;*What is the proper way to use eye makeup remover? A lot of my eyelashes fall out when I use mine?
I use these little round pads that come in a small round container. They're called Eye-Q, and I get them at Rite Aid or Wallgreens, or whatever drug store is handy whenever I run out. There's nothing in them that will hurt your eyes, and I never lose eyelashes when I use them.
It is common, however, to lose a lash or two every now and then, but if you're losing them every time you remove your make up, you might be rubbing too hard. Let the remover do the work, and rub less, or rub less hard, until it all comes off.
If you're using a ';Gentle'; eyemakeup remover, then you'll definetly lose some lashes because you have to use a little more force than usual to remove your mascara. Get an eye makeup remover that has a oil base to it so that you see the two liquids inside seperated but when you shake it them become one for awhile. I have never lost an eyelash with Lancome Bifacils.
go back to the original!! PONDS cold cream is the most amazing eye makeup remover. it is super gentle, when you buy a thing of cold cream it lasts forever, and it gets every last bit of makeup off my eyes (And i use waterproof mascara). I watched my mom use it when i was growing up and then i took a makeup class and they told me to buy some for the class. I use it every night...its wonderful! You can find it at any drugstore and it's pretty cheap
I use the blue stuff from sephora too. Mine works great. All I use is a couple pieces of toilet paper, or a tissue. Then a q-tip for right under my eye. It is not harmful to get a little into you eye. It may just hurt for a few seconds, but just wash it out and your good to go. No need to worry.
i use lancome bi-facil makeup remover...instead of cottom balls i use qtips to get the eyeliner off
