Eye makeup....?

Can anyone tell me the most effective way to get eyeshadow in that outward sweeping wing look - like the way jordan usually wears her eye makeup - kinda sweeping out at the edge to create an almost cateye effect - Im pretty much a dab hand at applying make up but I end up like someone whose been in a fight when I try to do this! I think it would look so fantastic for a night out so anyone with tips would be loved forever!!

Thanks guys!

i go for smoky eyes - always follow these stages:

- black liquid eye liner (with small flicks at the end of my eyes)

- add a neutral colour all over lids

- next a soft pink colour (as its great with brown eyes) on to lids and just above the crease

- next a soft grey colour up to crease on lid and under eye (on outer edge only)

- next a black colour just along the outer edge of eye (both ontop and underneath) this should be just a thin line along your eye liner line (definitely not upto crease)

- finally add mascara

- for an extra sparkly touch add sparkle liner along the top of eye where you originally put your black eye liner. (u can get this online from avon (avon combo of sparkle clear liner and mascara) its great for xmas

hope that all made sense, if not post a note and ill try to make it clearer...definetly have a go tho coz you'll find you'll love it...i wear mine like this most weekends when I'm out...guarantee you'll get loads of comments asking how you did it so you can pass on this info too.Eye makeup....?
buy really good eye make up brushes and also an eyeliner pen rather than a pencil
first, it's a necessity to use an eyeshadow base it hold any type of eyeshadow in place; to get the cat eye look what you absolutely must have is a good brush to apply eyeshadow with (a thin, tapered one works best). to get a fab result use more than one shade in layers (light, darkest, second lightest), it never fails. just remember that no one is a natural when it comes to wearing makeup, like everything else it requires patience and practise.
Use a highlighter/base/neutral tone on all of eye lid first and slightly over eyelid - not quite up to eyebrow but to the brow bone. One with a shimmery tone is best.

Then you need a much darker shade, still an eyeshadow %26amp; not a liner as this is what creates the 'sweeping' effect. Apply a thick line of it directly above lashes following shape of eye and then flicking up %26amp; out at the end almost or up to the end of your eyebrow. Then you need to blend it in with the base keeping it coming outward %26amp; up always towards tip of eyebrow.

Apply the same darker shade under eye as well %26amp; blend up %26amp; outwards also meeting the top line so they join %26amp; blend up towards edge of eyebrow.

I would also apply eyeliner of same shade into roots of bottom lashes for depth.

Apply mascara to top lashes only %26amp; more to the outer ones as this will create a more 'cat eye' look.

Also To increase the 'cat eye' look liquid liner flicked up %26amp; out is good on top lids.

After that its really up to you how much you apply to create a dramatic or more subtle look, but hopefully that will help with the basic idea!
by reading yr question it seems like u are not that good at putting make up. well honey its not yr fault, many ppl cant put make up by themselves. but my solution for u is that ask someone to do yr make up. describe them how u want it to be. may be yr frndzz or any relative, i hope they will help u and i am sure u will look dazzling. i hope my suggestion helps u. keep smiling!! bye and tc.
