How do you make your eye makeup last all day?

I find that my mascara and eyeliner always come off no matter what I do. (meaning, my lashes wilt and my eyeliner starts smudging like crazy.) Any tips or special primers to make it look fresh all day and night?How do you make your eye makeup last all day?

Superstar eyeliner: a.k.a. mascara! Think about it – you’re applying mascara and accidentally get some on your lid. You usually have to take a cotton swab with water or eye makeup remover to clean it off. Why not take an eyeliner brush and apply a thin line of mascara along your top lashes. I’ve done this and it works really well, especially for the “smoky” look. Try different colors – brown, blue or purple!








Luscious lashes: This is a makeup mystery that always works, and I don’t know why. Put one coat of mascara on your lashes and apply a second coat of different mascara. Make sure its waterproof, and dont touch your face, or rub your eyes throughout the day.
Use loreal Paris eye wear it stays on for 12 hours and it really works it is so awesome!

Get eyeliner that is smudge proof. my one will last two days if i don't get wet or cry
go to mac cosmetics and buy a primer called paint. you can choose the color. its a base before applying eyeshadow and it keeps it there soooo long. ive applied it in the morning and it lasted throughout the night. its perfect for parties and it doesnt crease like others do. also apply less mascara and find one thats not globby. you should change your mascara like every month
With mascara maybe try putting less coats so it doesn't get to heavy. With eyeliner I use oil based ones, so mine also get smudgy. But I noticed if I put some shadow underneath it it doesn't start creasing.
I swear by BeneFit LemonAid--it not only balances out the color in your eyelids, it doubles as an eyeshadow primer that makes my eyeshadow stay three times as long as it normally would (it usually melts away by noon!).





Also avoid soft, 'volumizing' mascaras. Go with mascaras with words like 'professional' and 'waterproof'. Those dual-application mascaras (the ones with the primer and color at each end) are usually too soft for oily skin.
Wait until late afternoon to apply it.
Use waterproof mascara.. Pencil eyeliner rarely lasts all day, try using liquid eyeliner. Mine lasts all day. It's hard to get that straight line but with practice you'll be fine.
well i would use waterproof makeup. if u want it to last... use liquid eyeliner. but if its for a party or something.. then pencil is much better. for mascara just use waterproof. its more durable. and don't apply too much.. two coats is perfect! :)
use waterproof mascara and either smudgeproof or water proof eyeliner- it works great you can also try applying a concealer/powder to area where you apply the liner... good luck!

Need to prime your eye area first with a little foundation ( non oily type), press loose powder to set %26amp; apply your eyemake-up. L'oreal or Maybelline mascara are ok -use waterproof types. Revlon colourfast eyeliner set with a little eyeshadow last the whole day!
Use liquid eyeliner!Almay has excellent liquid eyeliner!It is a bit trickier to apply ,but it is worth it in the end.It gives a much cleaner look.
Use a good mascara like cover girl, use a waterproof brand, it dries faster and stays put use two coats if you like movement use the waterproof first and then use a regular formula on top. let your mascara sit before you put you liner on. for eye makeup use a translucent powder on top to seal eye powder and cream shadow lasts longer than powder.
Your best answer is to get an eye primer for your eyeshadow. Mary Kay makes one and I really like it. Since eye lids are naturally oily, you need the eye primer to help control that for longer lasting eye shadow. Don't put concealer or foundation on your eye lids. Let the eye primer do it's job and apply eye shadow as normal.





Use waterproof mascara to prevent smudging.
i use waterproof mascara and if u need eyeshadow that dosent crease, try neutrugena eye primer, u put on like eyeshadow and then put ur regular makeup on. see if it works!hoped i helped!

Wash your face before applying make up, and then apply a coat of moisturizing lotion. Then, use eye primer before you put on your eyeshadow. Mary Kay is always trusted, and isn't very expensive for such good products. For your mascara, use waterproof/smudgeproof in 3 coats-no more. For best results, use covergirl for the first coat, maybeline for the second, and for the third, L'Oreal paris. As for eyeliner, you have to use waterproof. In addition to that, put powder on your eyeliner for the first coat and then apply 2 coats of waterproof eyeliner. Oh, I forgot. You have to use liquid eyeliner, since pencil liner always comes off, even if you leave it alone.
You can try other products, some might not smudge as much as others. I like to put foundation on my eyelids and under my eyes and then powder to finish. That will help to keep wear off and smudging to a minimum. It might also depend on how much moisture your tear ducts produce and how humid it is where you live.
use water proof mascara and the best way to keep eyeshadow on is to use a cream eyeshadow then put the powder on over it. eyeliner either stays on you or it doesn't mine never stays on me but that really cannot be prevented.
